Farmland Auctions
The process

How It Works

A farmland auction with nothing hidden — here's exactly what happens from the moment a property is submitted to the day the result is published.

Two paths, one platform

From Listing to Closed Sale

Whether you're selling a quarter section or bidding on one, every step runs through a licensed REALTOR® with full transparency.

Selling land

The Seller Journey

  1. Seller

    01Submit your property

Tell us about your land — legal description, acres, soil class, lease status, photos and supporting documents. It takes about 20 minutes.

  2. Seller

    02Review period

Our REALTOR® reviews every submission, verifies the details and works with you on reserve price, opening bid and auction timing. If you agree to proceed, we execute legal listing paperwork with your REALTOR®.

  3. Seller

    03Listed

Your property goes live on MLS and our platform with a set auction completion date. Buyers register, qualify and watch the countdown to auction day.

  4. Seller

    04Auction day

Qualified bidders compete in real time. Anti-sniping extensions ensure the auction only ends when bidding truly stops.

  5. Seller

    05Close

If the reserve is met, the high bid wins and the Contract of Purchase and Sale Agreement is executed through the representing REALTOR®.

  6. Seller

    06Payment

Deposit, balance and transfer are handled through the REALTORS® brokerage trust process and representing law firm. The result is published to the public archive after closing.

Buying land

The Buyer Journey

  1. Buyer

    01Register

Create a free account in minutes. Browsing listings and watching auctions is open to everyone.

  2. Buyer

    02Verify identity

We verify every bidder so sellers know each bid is real and backed by a real buyer.

  3. Buyer

    03Sign the agreement

Sign the bidder agreement electronically to qualify for the auction. A member of our team will also reach out with you to discuss any questions.

  4. Buyer

    04Bid live

Bid under your masked bidder number in the live auction room-manually, or set a private maximum bid and let the proxy engine bid for you.

  5. Buyer

    05Win

If you hold the high bid when the clock runs out and the reserve is met, the land is yours at true market price.

  6. Buyer

    06Purchase

Complete the purchase through the licensed REALTOR® — agreement, balance of funds and title transfer, start to finish.

FarmlandAuctions.ca is owned by Cameron Wyatt, a Saskatchewan-licensed REALTOR® with REMAX Crown Real Estate. Every auction, agreement and dollar moves through a licensed, regulated REALTOR® — not an anonymous website.
